We welcomed the Medical Mavericks back to the academy on Friday. This workshop was a great opportunity for our students to explore career options within medical settings and the NHS.

Over 250 Year 8 students had the opportunity to take part in the exciting workshop and try out activities like taking blood from a fake arm, recording their own ECG, keyhole surgery and having the opportunity to see inside their body with an ultrasound machine. They also took time to check out careers and dozens of different career paths as well as salaries and training routes!
