Being part of an 11-18 academy allows you access to a wide range of facilities.
These include a state of the art climbing wall and outdoor ropes course, and our very own TV studio and two separate libraries. There is also a professional quality theatre and fantastic sports facilities including two sports halls, a fitness gym and playing fields.
Academy Library
Our library is at the heart of the academy, open to all students during the academy day.
Main Dining Hall
Our dining hall seats over 400 people and features modern kitchen facilities for daily use.
Post 16 Library
The Post 16 Library is a busy, positive learning environment for students to undertake research.
Helpdesk
A specialist ICT room with ICT technical support, which is bookable for lessons throughout the day.
Fitness Gym
Used for lessons and equipped with the latest fitness equipment.
Theatre
The academy has its own fully equipped theatre.
Each department has its own set of fully equipped classrooms. These include eleven ICT classrooms running the latest software and a dedicated IT helpdesk. Students can spend their lunch and breaks in one of our two dining halls, and our Post 16 students have their own dedicated cafe on site serving food & drinks.
Academy Studio
In the Studio our students produce a range of media to be shown on the Academy TV network.
Food & Nutrition Classroom
We a modern Food and Nutrion facility which is used for all students.
Careers Library
Our careers centre has an extensive range of resources suitable for all students.
Post 16 Baristas Cafe
Post 16 students can purchase hot and cold food, snacks and drinks.
High Ropes Course
As well as a state of the art ropes course, we also have a large climbing wall in our sports hall.
Sports Hall
We have two large modern sports halls, equipped with the latest equipment to be used.
