A huge thank you to everyone who attended our Year 5 & 6 Open Event. It was a pleasure to welcome so many families to Macmillan Academy and to share what makes our school such a special place to learn, grow and succeed.
For those students hoping to join us in September 2027, here are the next important steps:
- Apply for a secondary school place by 31 October 2026 through your local authority.
- If you apply for a place at Macmillan Academy, you will receive a letter inviting your child to attend our assessment task on Saturday 28 November 2026.
- If you have not received an invitation by Monday 23 November 2026, please contact Mrs Gettings at Macmillan Academy.
- 1 March 2027: The local authority will notify parents of their allocated secondary school place.
