Macmillan Academy students recently took part in the exciting First LEGO League Challenge, showcasing their creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving skills in a competition that brings STEM learning to life. It was a fantastic day filled with innovation, collaboration, and plenty of LEGO!
Our team worked hard to design, build, and program a LEGO robot to complete a series of tricky challenges, all while developing a project based on this year’s competition theme. Their hard work certainly paid off, as they impressed the judges with their engineering skills, teamwork, and innovative thinking.
We’re incredibly proud to announce that our team brought home one of the two Judge’s Awards, along with a LEGO trophy! This prestigious award recognises teams that stand out in key areas such as teamwork, problem-solving, and creativity.
A huge well done to every student involved, as well as the staff who supported them throughout the process. This achievement is a testament to the hard work and determination that our STEM students bring to every challenge.
