Inspiring Sports Spaces - Offering an outstanding range of sports facilities for community use

We offer an outstanding range of sports spaces for community use outside of the school day.

We aim to provide a safe environment and personal service to ensure you enjoy your chosen activity to the full. Our site provides ample parking, on site security and staffing support for your bookings.

All our facilities are maintained to the highest standards and we offer competitive rates for community groups, social groups and commercial organisations.

We are available to book during evenings and at weekends. Bookings can be made by the hour or longer, each week or for one off events.

We have been hiring our facilities for over 20 years and have established an excellent reputation in the Teesside area. Whilst we are a small operator, only opening when we have bookings, we still value the role we have within the local community to provide sporting opportunities for all.

Indoor Facilities

We have the following indoor facilities available:

Leisure Centre Hall

Leisure Centre Hall

Standard sports hall space for games activities including football, hockey, netball, basketball (training only), badminton (4 courts) and large fitness classes. The space is 31.5 x 16.5m.
 
Football goals are futsal style (3m x 2m) and basketball court markings are older style.
 
Users must provide own footballs, rackets or equivalent.
Blue Sports Hall

Blue Sports Hall

Sports hall space for fitness classes, martial arts, badminton (2 courts), basketball (training only) and gymnastics. The hall has three walls with the fourth side being a floor to ceiling curtain. The space measures 18 x 15.5m.
 
Basketball markings are older style.
 
Users must provide own basketballs, rackets or equivalent.  
 
Speaker, mats and other fitness equipment also available on request.
Climbing Wall

Climbing Wall

Contains 21 route corridors and 90+ graded climbing routes across a range of feature walls.

It is a dedicated facility for exclusive group use. Groups or training providers looking to hire this space must meet our qualification and training requirements. Please get in touch to discuss.

Exclusive use for Cleveland Mountaineering Club on Thursday evenings.

We have the following outdoor facilities available:

Football Pitches

Pitches and spaces for 9 a side football, 11 a side football and training.

9 a side football pitches (2 available) are 74 x 45m with goals 4.8 x 2.1. These are recommended for U11 – U12.

11 a side football pitch is 94 x 60m with goals 7.3 x 2.4m. This is recommended for U15 – U18 but also for adults.

Match day changing rooms available at an additional cost. Match pitch availability is from September to April.

Netball Courts

Hardcourt surface space for netball and other games or fitness activities. 4 courts available for junior games, 3 for adults.

Each netball court is 29.5 x 15m with up to 4 courts available.

Courts are within 2 fenced areas that are 34 x 32m and 40 x 32m. Basic floodlights available at no extra charge.

Artificial Pitch

Artificial Pitch

Full size, floodlit, sand dressed pitch for hockey and athletics / fitness activities. Also suitable for football and rugby as well as soft ball cricket.  The playing area is 91.4 x 55m, with a total fenced area of 101.4 x 63m, including the run-off.

Hockey pitch is 91.4 x 55m and includes two 7 a side hockey pitches (55 x 45.7m). There are 3 sets of standard hockey goals. Hockey match booking time is a minimum of 1 hour 45 mins, including warm up, half and cool down times

Area also contains 11 a side football goals 6.4 x 2.1m (recommended for U13/U14 but also suitable for U15 – U18), and 7 a side football goals (2 sets) are 3.6 x 1.8m (recommended for U7 – U10 but can be used by all ages)

The surface will not support any studded footwear e.g. moulded football boots, spikes.

There is no additional charge for floodlights.  

Netball Courts

Netball Courts

Each netball court is 29.5 x 15m with up to 4 courts available.

We meet all lead bookers in advance of using our site and will provide an induction to ensure you are comfortable with your facility space and access arrangements.

Opening Hours

Our opening hours are dependent on the bookings we have.

Generally these are:

Monday: 5.30 – 9.00pm
Tuesday: 5.30 – 9.00pm
Wednesday: 5.30 – 9.00pm
Thursday: 5.30 – 9.00pm
Friday: Please Enquire
Saturday: 8.30am – 5.00pm (hockey match bookings only, please enquire for one off events)
Sunday: 8.30am – 4.00pm

We are closed for bank holidays and over the Christmas holiday period.

We have a wide range of community, commercial and social groups who regularly use our facilities. These include:

Macmillan Academy

Stockton Road | Middlesbrough |TS5 4AG

We are located at the crossover between the A19 and A66, just off Newport roundabout.

The academy is directly next door to Goals Teesside on Stockton Road (B6541), running parallel to the A66.

Access is via the vehicle or pedestrian gate – press the button for entry.
