We would like to invite you to attend our Meet The Tutor event on Wednesday 30 September and Thursday 1 October 2026, from 3.30pm to 6.30pm on both days.
It is an opportunity to discuss with your child’s form tutor how they have settled into Macmillan Academy. The form tutor is your main point of contact here, so we hope every family will take up an appointment.
You can book either a telephone appointment or an in-person appointment at the academy, whichever is easier for you. Each lasts roughly 10 minutes and you only need to book one:
- Wednesday 30 September – telephone appointments
- Thursday 1 October – in-person appointments at the academy
For telephone appointments, the form tutor will call you at your appointment time and the call may show as a withheld or unfamiliar number. For in-person appointments, please come to main reception, where staff will direct you.
On Thursday 1 October, we will also be holding a Community Fair alongside the appointments, from 3.30pm to 6.30pm. There is no need to book – please come along and visit the stalls, whether or not you have an appointment that day. The organisations confirmed so far are:
- Thirteen – Touchpoint van, housing advice and employability support
- Middlesbrough Borough Council (MBC) waste and recycling team
- MBC North Neighbourhood team
- MBC Highways team
- Public Health – drug and alcohol service
- Public Health – smoking and vaping support service
- Police – local neighbourhood team
All appointments are booked through our MyChildAtSchool (MCAS) platform. A guide on how to make appointments is included with this letter.
Appointments can be booked from Saturday 19 September at 8am and will close on Monday 28 September at 5pm.
If you do not have access to the internet, have difficulty booking through MCAS, or miss the deadline, please contact your child’s form tutor, who will be happy to help.
