Year 11 Results Day 2026

August 20, 2026

Staff at Macmillan Academy are today celebrating alongside Year 11 students as they collect their GCSE results.

Across the year group, students have shown real perseverance and character, and today brings a wealth of individual success stories — results that open the door to sixth form, apprenticeships and the next stage of every student’s journey. Their achievements reflect years of hard work, supported every step of the way by staff and by parents and carers.

Mr King, Deputy Headteacher, praised the students’ commitment:

“Behind every envelope opened this morning sits five years of effort, and that is what we are celebrating today. These results represent far more than grades on a page — they tell the story of young people who have grown in confidence, worked through challenges and kept going. We are enormously proud of every one of them.”

Echoing these sentiments, Mrs Barrett, Head of Year, encouraged students to carry today’s success forward:

“This year group has been a pleasure to lead, and today they have their reward. Be proud of what you have achieved, enjoy the moment with your families — and bring that same determination with you into whatever comes next in September.”
