These events include: The First World War 1914-1918; Germany and the rise of Hitler 1919-1945; and Britain in the early 20th Century. You will also study international relations since the Second World War which include: the Cold War; the Cuban missile crisis and the Vietnam War.
The course is supported by up to date textbooks, video programmes and CD ROMs as well as the visits already mentioned.

‘A’ Level History examines some aspects of Key Stage 4 work in much greater depth, for example - Nazi Germany. However, some new topics such as International relations before World War 1, British politics, and events leading up to the Russian Revolution are included to add to students’ knowledge of the 20th century. Skills such as source analysis and essay writing are also expanded.
