Bali Rai visit

Popular novelist Bali Rai will be visiting the academy library on Monday 30th April. Bali has written many novels about teenage lives in multi-cultural, inner-city Britain. These include “(Un)arranged Marriage”, “Rani and Sukh” and “The Last Taboo”. Bali will be delivering workshops on his GCSE set book “Rani and Sukh” to Y10 classes and during lunch-time he’ll be available to meet other students.

To celebrate World Book Day you can swap your £1 WBD tokens for a FREE book in the Library – hurry while stocks last! The tokens can also be used in exchange for a free WBD book at your local bookshop or use it to get £1 off the full price of a book.

Have a go at the Library’s Design a Bookmark competition and you could win a prize, have your bookmark printed out for distribution in the Library and have it entered into a national competition.

Also make sure your tutor group enters the Library’s World Book Day competition as there’s a prize for the winning group from each year.
