BACKGROUND
The Peru Fund is a charitable organisation set up approximately 40 years ago in the outskirts of Lima, the capital city of Peru. It allows local women to use their expertise in needlework to produce goods of a superb quality which are then sold to help generate an income for themselves and their families. Many of these goods also represent life for a typical ‘peruano’ and so incorporate Peruvian scenes in the Andes including colourful costumes, local animals and typical routines. Many of these orignal goods also include the name of the lady that has actually produced the product and so when YOU buy one you know exactly who YOU are helping!!

Keep watching and listening out for news of forthcoming events!!
Gracias
THE PERU FUND TEAM!!

DE COMPRAS

October 6th, 2009

las-chicasThanks to all those who did some good work on their shop dialogues in Spanish this week, especially CM, GP, CM, RY and  TP to name but a few!! Remember to practise them along with the vocabulary covered so far for your test next week. I will expect to see next lesson, your:

completed FLIP review;

dialogue;

(improved) paragraph about the food and drink you consume and your opinions on your diet   and

a mindmap for the unit.

See Miss Longbottom’s blog for extra links too.

Here are some reminders of the dialogues:

If you were the teacher in their FLIP lesson, what advice would you impart to the students? Think about:
