I don't check e-mails and hardly use Twitter. I only really use facebook to organise stuff but that could be done through phoning them, I don't check the news but I could see it on TV and in newspapers... I very rarely play games but I have games that work without the internet so that wouldn't be effected... and I would still be able to watch videos as I have DVD's etc and I could buy CD's to listen to music. I know I could live a day without the internet as I don't use it every day and I don't think it's very important. Although it would get boring without it if it was off forever. Plus if there was no internet no one would miss it because they wouldn't have experienced it...

I think there would be good and bad things to not having the internet for a day. I could get things done without the distaction of social networking but then most of my college work would not be able to be done as it's either internet research based or i'm working from home on remote desktop. The internet is also a great form of entertainment which keeps me occupied when traveling etc. I'd be board out of my head without it.

I think living without social networks such as Twitter and Facebook would be relatively easy, plus playing games isn't very important to me so I believe I would be able to manage without the internet for a day quite well. Also, I could find ways around not having the internet, for example I would use books to do research or revision instead of searching through the web. However, if it was technology overall, I would definitely find that much more difficult due to the fact that I use my phone a lot as well as using computers to do nearly all of my homework.

Interesting opinions everyone.

I find Amy's interesting when she says we should take news stories with a pinch of salt unless they come from reliable sources such as the BBC.

If you read into the recent issues, a lot of these are concerned around the BBC and their Newsnight broadcast - can we trust anyone these days?

People shouldn't believe everything they read on the internet, as it can cause a lot of trouble when some idiot reads a fake list of pedophiles and goes shooting up a village.
If someone finds an article saying something a bit crazy then they should try to at least find some proof for whatever the article says before they start demanding a blood sacrifice.
