Looks like Lobbying will now be reformed by 2015.
The Republicans seem to be shifting further right. An article in The Times yesterday gives an example of a long serving senator (Richard Lugar) losing a primary contest in his home state to a tea party activist.
Good article today in The Times about how Cameron has backed down on his plans to reform the Lobbying industry. The PM had claimed that he wanted greater transparency and a register for all Lobbying firms. This was not in the Queen’s speech.
Today the Queen has announced the government’s plans for the forthcoming parliament.

The current sitting of Parliament has come to an end and the Queen will open her new parliament in a few days’ time.
