Risk Management

Kick Start

Kick Start is a journey of adventure, challenge and new experiences. It is a personal development course and will provide opportunities for students to learn more about themselves and others, as well as to develop their learning behaviours.

Activities

The course is held at the academy and will take place over two days. Students can expect to experience the climbing wall, low ropes course and high ropes course as well as a range of problem solving and teambuilding tasks. As part of the course students may go further afield into the North York Moors.

Requirements

Essential Equipment:

  • Macmillan Academy PE kit
  • Track suits bottoms (must be plain black)
  • Trainers
  • Water sports clothes including towel and plastic bag
  • School planner
