Mountain Biking

The mountain biking adventure days become progressively more challenging with students starting off learning and developing the key riding skills and exploring the different trails around the North York Moors. As the students’ progress, they will have the opportunity to explore different trails further afield such as the Lake District, whilst continually developing their riding skills, with the ultimate aim to participate in the Coast to Coast challenge.

Requirements

Students will need:

  • Macmillan Academy PE kit
  • Track suits bottoms (must be plain black)
  • Trainers
  • Packed lunch
  • Drink (not fizzy drinks or sports drinks)
  • School planner
All mountain biking equipment (bikes, helmets, bike gloves, sunglasses) and kit needed for a day outdoors (rucksacks, waterproofs, fleeces, walking boots, water bottles) will be provided by the Academy.
