On Tuesday 24th April 10 Macmillan students and their parents attended the 19th Annual Awards Ceremony for the Student Librarian Training Scheme.

On Tuesday 24th April 10 Macmillan students and their parents attended the 19th Annual Awards Ceremony for the Student Librarian Training Scheme.

The ceremony took place at St Hilda's C of E School and was attended by several other schools from the Tees Valley area. The students were presented with a certificate for completing the student librarian scheme by award winning author Dan Smith.

To complete the course the students volunteer to work in the library in their own time, they also complete several worksheets relating to library skills, create displays and produce book reviews.

It was an enjoyable evening and the awards were well deserved as the library would not run as smoothly without the hard work and commitment of these students.
