Macmillan 'headstart' students attended a training event at UCA last week to learn more about digital resilience and how to encourage peers to be safe online. The 'Be strong' event was delivered through the Diana award in memory of Princess Diana as part of her legacy to ensure all young people learn to value themselves.

Post 16 and year 8 students from Macmillan Academy collaborated in tasks aimed at increasing their leadership skills and knowledge of digital resilience. The students performed admirably as role models for the academy, participating and winning competitive activities.

We now have qualified 'Be strong' ambassadors who will be meeting regularly to ensure our students are all supported in safer internet use.
