The academy Eco Council ran an easter egg decorating competition to raise funds for the Eco Council and sustainability activities around the academy.

Students are purchasing their eggs to decorate in tutorial time, or at home, and returning them to Mrs Campbell in the Saltholme Room in readiness for judging before the Easter break. They have been encouraged to follow a wildlife/sustainability theme to fit with the Polli:Nation project which is currently underway to improve the biodiversity in the academy grounds.

Mrs Campbell said "We recieved a wide variety of entries, ranging from the Easter rabbit to the bees, ladybirds and butterflies. The students never fail to surprise us, so the Eco Council are looking forward to judging entries. Prizes will be awarded to the most creative entry in each key stage." The competition ran from Monday 13th to Friday 31st March.
