Our annual awards evening took place here at the academy on Tuesday 13th September. It was a very special event in which we celebrated and applauded the progress and achievements of our students during the past academic year.

To present the awards, we were delighted to welcome as our guest of honour, former student Oli Clark. Oli left Macmillan academy in 2007 and went on to study at Newcastle University where he gained a BSc in Computer Science. Since then he has had a very successful career in London and currently works in the financial sector as a freelance user experience consultant. He is also a keen sky-diver in his spare time! Oli gave some great advice to our current students about making the most of every opportunity, playing to your strengths and above all, being adaptable in a changing world.

The academy would like to thank CRB Cunningham for sponsoring the awards evening, and many congratulations go to all of our award winners.
