Each year staff and students at Macmillan join with others across the nation in taking time to reflect and mark the act of remembrance for those who have made the ultimate sacrifice for our country with a special internally televised broadcast.

Normal lessons are suspended for a ten minute period. All staff and students watch the programme which concludes with a minute's silence at 11am, the time at which the guns fell silent on the battlefields marking the end of WW1.

This year a group from the academy recently visited the Durham Light Infantry museum to research and film the broadcast. The focus of our film tells the real life story of four brothers who fought in WW1 yet sadly many of them didn't return home.

Please take time to view this year's broadcast, and feel free to leave your comments.
