Macmillan Academy has achieved the prestigious Artsmark Award from Arts Council England, through demonstrating a commitment to quality arts provision. This award is a great accolade as it demonstrates that our arts provision is broad, balanced and of high quality.

Principal Mr P Latham is delighted with the award, explaining that, "This award reflects the range of opportunities that students can access in this area. It emphasises the value we place on creativity and cultural provision for all. Putting the imagination to work has the potential to produce extraordinary results as we can see in the fantastic fine art and textiles on display in the academy, in the inspiring dance, drama and musical performances and in creative media."

Holding Artsmark confirms that Macmillan is forward thinking and focused on ongoing development and the academy is building sustainable relationships with arts and cultural organisations, including Mima and Tees Valley Arts.
