Health Day 2012
2012-06-25
Year 10 students enjoyed a special day-long 'Health Day' programme on Tuesday 19th June, in which they took part in a range of activities designed to promote healthier lifestyles and teach students about health and physical well-being.
Students were given the opportunity to select sessions ranging from the more serious, including; sex and drugs education, cancer awareness, healthy eating and self defence, to more fun and active sessions, such as; archery, zumba, cycling and an outdoor learning challenge.
With an important GCSE examination that afternoon, students were overwhelmingly positive about their experiences, describing the day as both 'fun', 'informative'.
