Sports Day 2012

The Annual Academy Sports Day took place on 19th June at Clairville Stadium and was yet again a great success.

There were some outstanding performances and it was excellent to see so many students getting behind their tutor groups and supporting others.

Congratulations to 7JBN who took whome the overall winners trophy.

The academy was honoured to also receive an official Olympic torch, from Mr Rick Betts during the awards presentations.

Mr Betts, who coaches at Mandale Athletics Club in Middlesbrough, carried the Olympic torch during the torch relay around the north east. The torch will be put on permanent display in the academy at a later date.
