WHATS NEW?
Our involvement with the TEEP training course during the past ten years has been central to the Teaching and Learning ethos of the Academy.
All Macmillan Academy staff are now TEEP trained and to this end we have re-developed this training to focus on our new Teaching and Learning model and be a focal point of the NQT +1 training that we offer.
This will then lead to offering NQT+2/3 teachers the opportunity to embark on a bespoke outstanding teaching programme, again based on evidence based teaching and research.
The Iris observational camera will be a vital component in all of the training programmes mentioned, allowing for more self – reflective practice, excellent mentoring and coaching opportunities to share best practice within community of teachers as learners.
We have also developed a bespoke 3 level Leadership Course in conjunction with Brathay.
- Level 1 being for people with their first TLR’s and run as a TLC.
- Level 2 as a residential course for new HODs incorporating 360° feedback,
- Level 3 for Senior Leaders focusing mainly on coaching skills.
