I am delighted that you are considering applying to study in Post 16 at Macmillan Academy. We pride ourselves that each individual student is valued and encouraged to achieve their potential.
Our mission statement, "Inspiring every student to succeed" is integral to all that we do at Post 16 as we want to see our students complete their courses successfully whilst developing into happy, confident young people with wide-ranging interests and high aspirations.

We recognise that the needs of students at Post 16 are different from lower down the school and we provide excellent facilities which are for the exclusive use of our Post 16 students, including offering a brand-new, modern and spacious common room/café and a well-equipped Study Centre.
We also foster relationships which are based on mutual respect and treat each other as adults.

Deciding where to go and what to study at Post 16 will be one of themost important decisions that you will make and we want to help you make the right choices.
Interviews are offered to help determine the most suitable combination of courses and we also have a ‘bridging week’ in July to allow all students to meet their teachers and get a taste of what their chosen courses can offer.
We warmly welcome applications from students currently studying here and those from other schools. Application forms are available on request.
