POST 16 Sport

sport at post 16

post 16 sportAll Post 16 students have access to variety of sporting opportunities on Wednesday afternoons.

We organise internal sporting tournaments throughout the year e.g for 5 a-side football and golf tournaments. There are 7 different sports teams the students can play for throughout the year. During the 2008 2009 season there has been over 30 different sports fixtures, with over 50 different students participating.

The students take a role lead in running the sports teams with the Captain’s leading the planning and organising the upcoming fixtures. They also play a vital part of a successful Postpost 16 sport 16 Sports Council which meets every half term to discuss fixtures, coaching, up coming activities, kit and Post 16 Sports Dinner. The Captain gains the opinions from the team and shares them back to the group.

The Teams include:

We also have opportunities for Badminton, Trampolining, Rock-it-Ball, Softball and Rounders with other Colleges and 6th Forms.
