Examination Results

Staff and students at Macmillan Academy celebrated the best ever Post 16 results in their history in the summer of 2010.  The average points score per student was up to 311 UCAS points.  A Level students achieved 55.6% of results graded at A*-B and there was a pass rate of 98.6%.  These results are a reflection of the hard work of students and dedication of Post 16 teaching and support staff at the Academy.

It is exceptionally pleasing for the Academy that so many students achieved their first choice offers at university, especially due to the competitive nature of applications.  Whilst the Academy is proud of all students’ achievements, there were some exceptional individual results.  James Bell and Bethany McGhee will be going to study at The University of Cambridge.
