Dip into the Witch's Cauldron of Books. Pick a parcel and take it to the desk to be issued to you.
Dare you read the book you’ve picked out?
Will it be a trick or a treat?

THE NEW LIBRARY

At the start of term Macmillan Academy will have a NEW LIBRARY. Come along and see for yourself what a fantastic place it is.

Forthcoming events include:

• I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here!
New celebrity life story books for you to take out. Dare you sample the Library’s Bush Tucker Trial?
• Dr Who – are you mad about Dr Who?
Read the newest books in the series.
• Meet an Author.
Award winning author Bali Rai will be visiting the Library. Watch the Library display boards for information.
• Macmillan Academy’s favourite books.
Read students’ book reviews, including Francesca Firman’s winning book review entry.

Congratulations to Francesca Firman 8ARO who won a pair of cinema tickets in last term’s Lucky Dip competition with her book review of Anthony Horowitz’s “The Phone went Dead”.

Information Centre Update

Please note the Information Centre will be closed from Monday 14th July. The I.C. staff will be packing up books ready for the move to the newly refurbished room.

You can bring books back until the last day of term as the I.C. staff will still be available at morning breaks in the temporary I.C.

If you would like to take books out over the holidays please come to the temporary I.C. this week.

Sorry for the inconvenience and thanks for your co-operation. We’re looking forward to seeing you in our new place in September.

We have a winner!
Congratulations to Ben Munroe 7ARO!
Ben has picked the lucky dip book containing the two cinema tickets. The tickets were inside the book “Indianna Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull” by James Luceno.

You could still be a winner by writing the best book review. Hand in your reviews to the I.C. staff before 11th July for your chance to win two cinema tickets.
