Policy

At Macmillan your physical health (how healthy your body is) and your emotional health (how you feel) is very important to us. We will make every effort to encourage you to develop healthy behaviours. Whether it is the food you choose to eat, the amount of exercise you take part in or how well you make friends! You will be taught how to make good choices.

You will be taught about these issues through;

Along with many other subjects during curriculum time; As you get older you make more and more choices about how to live your own life. You choose what food to eat, what to drink, what time to go to bed, which friends to have etc. Your lifestyle choices affect how much energy you have which affects every other part of your life.

We want you to ‘Be Healthy and Stay Safe.’

To be healthy you need to;

To stay safe you need to Take care when travelling to and from the Academy.

Macmillan has been awarded the Healthy Schools Award because of the policies and opportunities that we have at the Academy.  So if you have any questions or you need advice about any health issues you can speak to a member of the Healthy Schools Committee. (Mrs Cripps, Mrs Molnar, Mrs McVeigh, Mr Stanton, or Mr McCallum) Alternatively you can gain more information by using the websites below.
