Post 16
We teach BTEC 1st, BTEC National and Certificate in Business. We also teach AS and A2 level Law. The choice of syllabus is based upon our particular expertise in the subjects, what we consider the most appropriate format for examination and coursework and, of course, our perception as to the syllabus which will give our students the greatest opportunity to gain the best grade possible.

Our BTEC courses have been chosen for the following reasons:
- there is a clear follow-on from the GCSE; though this is not essential. They are taught in small parts, called units, and they are all coursework, which means that everything does not depend upon a final examination;
- In Year 12 Law examinations are in June. In Year 13 further examinations are taken in June;
- Completing three units in the first year means you automatically gain an 'AS' level qualification. Further units in the second year lead to the 'A2' Level. However, unit grades can be improved by resits. The units include topics such as:
Legal Concepts and Sources
Machinery of Justice
Legal Personnel
BTEC Units include :-
- Exploring Business Activity
- Introduction to Marketing
- Investigating Business Resources
