Academy Governors
The Board of Governors comprises 19 members including three Parent Governors.
A sub-committee of the Board, the Finance and General Purposes Committee (F & G P), meets four times per year. The full Board of Governors meets once per term plus an Annual General Meeting in November.
Parent Governors serve for a period of three years. During the
first year they attend full Board Meetings only. During their second
and third years as Governors, they attend the F & G P meetings in
addition to Board Meetings. We would welcome enquiries from
parents who are interested in serving as a Parent Governor. Please
contact the Deputy Principal (Mr J Y McCallum) for more information.
At each Annual General Meeting, one third of the Governors are required to retire by rotation, but are eligible for re-election at that meeting.
